About This Fundraiser
Project Finding Listeners
Many of the refugees from NK get a chance to share their stories through speech-giving. Learning to stand in front of a crowd and giving a speech in English is part of the program offered by TNKR. Not only do they have a chance to show off what they learned (English), but share their stories of life in North Korea and their search for freedom at the Biennial English Speech Contests. Unfortunately, because of COVID-19 related stress that closed down businesses, many of the NK refugees have no chance to speak to share their incredible stories of human rights and call for justice in many parts of the world still.
This fundraisin project aims to find alternative venues where they can practice their speech. The funds raised will mainly go towards securing an English speaking audience.
-Writing emails, making calls, sending letters to scope out interest level 250,000W
-Visiting sites and building relationships 250,000W
- Marketing/PR for the actual event 100,000W
We are hoping to secure an audience that will find as much value in listening to the speech as the speakers will find in delivering it. We need your help in order to make this a reality. Any amount will be appreciated.
