About This Fundraiser
This is a story about TNKR (Teach North Korean Refugees). This amazing and highly thought of NGO of volunteers are in a country that many of them never knew, defending a,people they never met, by teaching them English in order for them to to succed in a society they have just come to know, South Korea.
The Co-founders, Casey Lartigue, Jr. and Eunkoo Lee came together in 2013 to give the freedom of CHOICE that the NK refugees had never known. Don't let it be the end of the story.
Help sustain those volunteers who have given of themselves, by giving them the opportunity to succed in their Human Rights efforts. Donate today to TNKR. Make a difference. They need your support. Your donations are all that they have.
The Korean War monument in Washington D.C. states:
"Our nation honors her sons and daughters who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met".

Originally named "English Matching," Teach North Korean Refugees has helped almost 400 North Korean refugees with adjusting to living outside of South Korea. We have done this on a tight budget, relying on our volunteers and fans. Despite our limitations, we have had a number of success stories and are a non-profit that North Korean refugees seek out.
We now have a fan who has offered us the most ambitious matching donation challenge. He says that in 2019, he will raise more money than I have for TNKR. Please accept this challenge along with me! He is in the finance industry, and confident he can twist enough arms to help us become more financially stable.
To be clear: your donations to this fundraising page will be matched. Doubled. If you give $100, it will become $200. If you give $500, it will become $1,000. If you give $5 a month, it will become $10 a month.
These donations are tax-deductible in the USA and South Korea.
